According to American history, child labor ended years ago in the United State all because of such Unions and grassroots group that came together and helped fought against it. The groups came up with different strategies that still applies today, such as, free education for all children in America and organized for their groups. Since the ending of child labor, all children received free education in the United State. However, in most  countries around the world such as: China, India, and parts of Africa child labor still exists today. China economy is growing because it has a massive work force, most of these work force are composed of children who work day and night in factories and mines where they receive low wages. About ten percent of Chinese children hold a full time job instead of going to school each year. They make over thousands of goods everyday that are mostly shipped to such western countries like the United States and England. China population is over crowded and most children in the country do not have the opportunities that other children have in other nations, furthermore, these children that are employed are missing out on both their education as well as their childhood. Child labor is a big issue in China today because of weak government laws and regulations on child labors. Moreover, as school fees increases parents don't have enough money to pay or send their children to school; hence, that is one of the reasons why most young children are sent to work. Few parents understand the dangers of allowing their children to enter the workforce, but when you are living in poverty you have no other choices. Several newspaper have done an investigation on child labor to show the world the unjustness of child labor, these newspaper investigators visited mines and  local textile factories all over in China where they found workers as young as twelve years old working up to sixteen hours per day. indeed, the exact number of children working in various factories and mines across China is still unknown.  According to Frank W. Hardy a feature writer “It is estimated that of the 10 million children out of school, over 5 million are working in factories. In Sichuan, 85% of children who drop out of school are working elsewhere” (Hardy). Overall, these children are too young to work, as consequence, it’s stopping them from having a good education, childhood, and a  life. In some cases children are kidnapped and sold to factories to work as slaves. All in all, Child labor should be banned, but the fact that America consumes so much products from China they need a lot of workers. Another reason why Child Labor is so common in such nations is that children are less concern about getting paid high wages while adult’s workers want to get paid high all the time.  Even though Americans consumers pay a huge amount for their goods children in China and everywhere else are getting paid low wages.
